Enrollment:

• Bright Star requires a $200 non-refundable registration fee (This fee covers office registration procedures and classroom supplies). The registration fee is for new students or returning students who have taken a leave for more than 6 months.

• The deposit fee of $500 is non-refundable but can be deducted from last month's tuition when withdrawal notice is given at least 45-days in advance.

• Bright Star requires 45 days’ written notice for withdrawals and schedule changes, and the full 45 days of tuition will be charged from the date notice is given. Additional scheduled days may be added on an availability basis.


Late Charges and Payments:

• Tuition is due on or before the 25th of the month. There is a late charge of $5 per day, starting immediately after the tuition due day. There is a $35 charge for all returned checks.

• Student safety is our first priority. To avoid any fees, the child must be picked up after dismissal. A late pick-up fee of $1 per minute will be charged if you do not pick up your child by then.


Absences:

• Bright Star school costs and staffing needs remain constant throughout the year, regardless of center closures, vacations, or absences from the classrooms. Because of this, Bright Star cannot pro-rate tuition or provide any credit or discount due to closures, vacations, sick or absences, regardless of the length of absence.

• If school closes for the facility or weather-related problems parents are responsible for full tuition, and the school follows Seattle Public Schools closure policy.

• To hold your child’s spot in the school, we must have an accompanying tuition payment. If your family chooses to take time off (for example, a 1-month summer vacation), tuition will continue to be billed as usual.

• We are unable to give refunds or “make up time” for absences.
