Meet Lacey, Founder of Bright Star.
Lacey holds a Bachelor's degree in Education. Before my family moved to Seattle, I was a middle school teacher. In 2014, I began my journey in early childhood education as a preschool teacher in Seattle, and in 2015, I returned to school to further study early childhood development and early learning. With a deep love for children and a strong belief in the importance of their earliest years, I founded Bright Star in 2019.
My greatest joy is creating a warm, loving, and nurturing environment where every child feels safe, valued, and truly cared for. I am also passionate about providing children with healthy, nutritious meals because I believe that a child’s well-being is supported not only by what they learn, but also by the love, care, and nourishment they receive each day.
Seeing children smile, grow, and become happy, confident, and independent is the greatest source of inspiration in my life. Their progress fills me with a deep sense of purpose, happiness, and fulfillment.
As a mother of two sons, I understand how important the early childhood years are in shaping a child’s future. Every hug, every smile, and every time a child calls me “Teacher Lacey” feel like the most meaningful rewards.
I truly love working with children, and it is an honor to support families from many different backgrounds. Knowing that Bright Star brings families a sense of trust, comfort, and peace of mind is one of my greatest joys. My hope is that every child who comes to Bright Star feels deeply loved, grows with confidence, and carries many happy memories with them for years to come.
